I’m back… Cue the evil laughter

I’m back, bitches. Put up the blaster shields because Maggie Lynn is back in power. Er, has power. You get the idea 😂 Thanks to all the out of state power crews that came to the rescue and to all the lovely indie books that kept me occupied when I wasn’t writing by candlelight.

I spent the last few days fuming. The power put me back a week on Del Muerta. I was literally one chapter away from completion of editing when – dun, dun, dun. The power went black. Still, while I was waiting, I finished the paper daft of Blood War. It worked out. A few trees down but we’re good. How are you all? Safe I hope?

Either way, I’m hoping for a good Autumn launch period this Fall. I’m thinking a release for Forgotten Hart in September, the release for Del Muerta on November first (El Dia de Los Muertos), and sometime around Christmas, both Blood War and the next (though still untitled) Wings of Caligo novel. I’m so excited for them all.

Needless to say, I’ll be taking signups ARC readers for my street team in advance since a few spots opened up, so make sure to either comment, DM or email me for the details.

It’s gonna be an exciting Fall. Stay tuned, for there will be blood… 😉

Happy November – Prepare Yourself For The Christmas Ads!

Oh the weather outside is frightful,

And the advertising agencies mindful,

We’ve only two months to go,

Christmas overload, overload, overload!

Ah, the month of November is here already! Turkeys will be stuffed (and humans, too!) by the end of the month. Me? I’m still trying to wrangle the Christmas ads that started playing before Halloween was even over!

Ah well. Maybe I’ll stick with thoughts of El Dia de los Muertos. That ends today, but at least it doesn’t involve thoughts of snow and thoughts of Mishka trying to eat the tinsel off of people’s trees! There’s never any on ours, but knowing him, he’ll try to find some anyway!

Thank you all for your wonderful support during the launch of the Vampire’s Handmaiden. It’s been wonderful hearing from you all about the story. It make me as the author so happy! If you haven’t picked up your copy yet, make sure to do so here.

Well, let all tidings be merry and don’t imbibe in the foodstuffs over the upcoming holidays! ‘Till we meet again, God bless!

The Swan Princes: A Christmas Tail

It’s live everyone! The Swan Princes is out and ready to read on Amazon in paperback and Kindle!

Just in case you need a recap, here’s a little bit about the story:

Witches, black swans, a mystery disappearance, an Asshole, and a Christmas romance that lasts ‘till the end of time…

Marissa Siegfried has always been in love with DePrynce… Odetton DePrynce, that is. When Odetton mysteriously disappears, unexpectedly leaving his fortune and estate to her, Marissa gets more than she ever could have bargained for when she discovers that her new home comes complete with a crew of mysterious swans. But is there a sinister secret at the heart of Odetton’s disappearance? Or will DePrynce be lost to her forever?

The Swan Princes is a new fantasy retelling of the classic Swan Lake story, spun with a comedic gender-swapping twist that will warm your heart this holiday season.

And here’s a snippet of the story:

Happy Holidays Readers!

Well, it’s the holidays.

Am I the only one who feels like the summertime was only a passing dream that I’d like to relive? This of course comes as the snowflakes are fluttering down here. Am I a little grouchy watching them come down? Yes, I am, and I’m not ashamed to admit it.

But enough about me. How are you all doing? Are you excitedly trimming your tree or are you sitting in the corner like a grinch like I am? Okay, that might be a little too much. Not quite a grinch, but the holiday commercials are a bit over done considering it feels like Halloween just ended last week.

Either way, I’m trying to launch myself into the holiday mood. I’ve got a Thanksgiving children’s book coming out this week, plotting out a new Christmas science fantasy novel, and yes, to sate your 2019 TBR pile, Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals coming your way next week. Make sure to stay tuned because there’s sure to be freebies to stock your kindle with, and if you are a paper lover like me, your stockings as well.

Let me be the first to wish you Happy Holidays. And whether hearing it so soon is an irritant to you or not, I still wish you happiness all the same.

And to make your holiday shopping a little easier, I’ll send a free copy of my best selling prequel STILL DEATH to anyone you wish me to. Either send them this link so they can download it or pop me a reply with their email address so I can send it directly to them!

Love, Maggie Lynn

P.S. If you haven’t read War Machine yet, keep an eye out for my Black Friday deals email. Slave to War is coming this December and you’ll need to be caught up
before it is out!

A note from the authors, Peg and Maggie Lynn:

The character of Charlie the Mouse was inspired by the lineage of field mice who have snuck into our home throughout the years. We live on what once was a farm so the numbers have been plentiful than we would have liked. We, however, chose to save their lives and used plastic traps like the one shown below. With some peanut butter and a cracker as bait the trap door closes the mice in and they stay safe inside until we find them the next morning. They tend to eat everything in the trap box and work up a sweat so never delay in relocating them. The wee critters will return to your home very shortly thereafter if you don’t take them miles away to a new field or barn. They have amazing tracking skills.
It seemed natural to us to name the star of our story Charlie. We named every mouse visitor we found in the boxes. Each one came with his or her own personalities but with one common denominator: love of food. Sweets were usually their favorites. Thus, the character of Charlie was conceived and brought to life with this story. We hope you have enjoyed it and will be on the lookout for future tales of Charlie the Mouse and his adventures.

Hope you win! Wishing you a blessed Christmas and a fabulous New Year!

About the book –
It all started when Jeff Guinn was assigned to write a piece full of little-known facts about Christmas for his paper, The Fort Worth Star-Telegram. A few months later, he received a call from a gentleman who told him that he showed the story to an important friend who didn’t think much of it. And who might that be? asked Jeff. The next thing he knew, he was whisked off to the North Pole to meet with this “very important friend,” and the rest is, well, as they say, history.

An enchanting holiday treasure, The Autobiography of Santa Claus combines solid historical fact with legend to deliver the definitive story of Santa Claus. And who better to lead us through seventeen centuries of Christmas magic than good ol’ Saint Nick himself? Families will delight in each chapter of this new Christmas classic—one per each cold December night leading up to Christmas!
